METRO Cash & Carry introduced a new pesticide-free grocery range - Fine Life Bio, under its in-house private label brand in May 2017. This wide range, with almost 110 products under the brand umbrella, was launched with an idea of making a healthy lifestyle possible at affordable prices. The product range includes but is not limited to spices, rice, flours, sweeteners & dry fruits.
In order to ensure the produce is completely pesticide-free, METRO Cash & Carry has collaborated with 13,000 farmers directly & indirectly through associated partners, sourcing around 10,000 MT of food grains annually. Each product is thoroughly tested and undergoes multiple checks right from the farm till the store. The products are tested for over 150 pesticides by NABL accredited labs where each batch is tested in order to qualify as pesticide-free.
The entire Fine Life Bio range is grown without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers, promising health in every grain consumed. The products are stored, cleaned, graded, processed and packed under METRO’s private label brand Fine Life Bio with multiple levels of critical control management. With the roll-out of Fine Life Bio range, METRO is trying to educate and garner awareness about the pesticide-free segment to the consumers at an affordable price.
