METRO Cash & Carry India opens its first METRO Wholesale Store in Ghaziabad
Ghaziabad is METRO’s third store in Delhi NCR after two operational stores in Shahdara and Seelampur in East Delhi
Store strategically located on NH24 Hapur Highway, will generate over 500 local jobs across Ghaziabad and adjacent areas
Ghaziabad, 11th October 2018: METRO Cash & Carry, India’s largest organized wholesaler and food specialist today launched its first METRO Wholesale Distribution Center (Store) at SSGT Road on the NH24 Hapur Highway. The new store, the third for METRO in Delhi NCR, was inaugurated by Mr. Arvind Mediratta, MD & CEO, METRO Cash & Carry India in the presence of senior state Government officials of Uttar Pradesh, local dignitaries and key supplier partners.
The new store at the Gateway of UP – Ghaziabad, is the 27th Wholesale store for METRO in India and the third store in Uttar Pradesh. Spread over 39,000 sq feet, the new store offers an expansive parking area (for over 100 cars and 100 two wheelers) to ensure a convenient shopping experience for its customers. The store will cater to over 36,000 registered customers across the city, which includes over 11000 traders & kiranas apart from Hotel & Restaurant owners, Caterers (HoReCa); Services, Companies and Offices (SCOs) and self-employed professionals. Apart from Ghaziabad city, the store will benefit customers from neighboring markets such as Noida, Greater Noida, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Pilkhuwa, etc.
