Meerut 4th April, 2018: METRO Cash & Carry, India’s leading organized wholesalers launched its first METRO Wholesale Distribution Center (Store) at Rishi Nagar, Baghpat Road in Meerut today. Mr. Arvind Mediratta, MD & CEO, METRO Cash & Carry India inaugurated the store in the presence of senior state Government officials of Uttar Pradesh, local dignitaries and key supplier partners.

The new Meerut Store is the second store for METRO in the state of Uttar Pradesh and its 25th store in India. Spread over 55,000 sq feet, the new store offers an expansive parking area (capacity of over 100 cars and 150 two wheelers) to ensure a convenient shopping experience for the customers. The new METRO store will generate over 500 jobs for Meerut and the neighboring regions.

METRO’s Meerut store will cater to over 30,000 registered customers across the city, which includes over 5000 kirana stores apart from Hotel & Restaurant owners, Caterers (HORECA) and self-employed professionals. Apart from Meerut city, the store will also benefit customers from neighboring markets such as Muzaffarnagar, Khatauli, Sardhana, Modinagar, Muradnagar, Hapur, Mawana.
