Many traders across India have already benefited from this program, which addresses crucial issues that impact their day-to-day business - such as planning and redesigning their assortment, managing stocks efficiently and becoming more customer-friendly. Similar programs will also be conducted in Indore.
METRO’s support to its small business customers also extends to the hospitality sector, where it has launched Swachhta Aur Satkar, a food safety, quality and hygiene outreach programme and Khol De Khazana, an inventory management training programme. These are aimed at helping local caterers, dhabas and mid-sized restaurants improve their hygiene and cleanliness through training programmes for their kitchen and front-end staff, while increasing the quality and efficiency of their stocks. The programme has already been received with great enthusiasm by local eateries and restaurants in Indore. Contributing to the growth of the local economy, METRO has created 300 local jobs (150 direct and 150 indirect) with this centre.
