New Delhi, 16 February, 2012: METRO Cash and Carry India, an international leader in self-service business-to-business wholesale, organized the first ‘METRO Bandhan Super Trader Meet’ in New Delhi. It has been a key focus at METRO to help local kiranas grow their business and remain competitive. METRO Trader Support program is custom designed to support local traders by understanding their business needs, identifying growth opportunities and offering customized solutions on product assortment, layout and display, stocking and promotion related solutions. Over 200 local traders from Delhi NCR region participated in this program.
The METRO Super Trader program is aimed at helping local kiranas address issues of competitive pricing, sharper assortments and inventory management, enhanced ambience, greater visibility, improved hygiene in the handling and storage of goods, and better services such as credit, delivery or other such conveniences to serve its customers better and in turn grow their business. METRO’s international products and processes equip traders to handle competition better and meet customer requirements. METRO empowers the local traders to sell quality products and trains them to remain competitive in the changing economic scenario

This program is a part of 'METRO Bandhan', an exclusive loyalty program which offers a range of privileges and value added services to Bandhan members. It rewards a regular customer for purchases made, not only through specialized services but also by ensuring that the customer's profit margins increase. Some of the specialized services offered through this program are dedicated relationship managers, a Gold Lounge facility for individual customer interactions and a dedicated Bandhan helpline for prompt responses to queries. The Bonus Program ensures that rewards increase with increasing engagement levels of METRO Bandhan members and helps them grain profit margins.
There are two levels of membership - silver and gold, depending on the customer's engagement level with METRO - purchase amounts, frequency of purchases and the range of products purchased.
